Esthetician Program
Great skin starts with expert care. Learn the art and science of skincare, facials, and spa treatments in our Esthetician program at Riggins Urban Barber College.

Hairstylist Program
Style, shape, and transform—become a master of hair at Riggins Urban Barber College. Our Hairstylist program equips you with the skills to cut, color, and create the latest trends in the beauty industry.

Manicurist Program
Precision and creativity come together in our Manicurist program. Master nail care, design, and spa treatments at Riggins Urban Barber College and build a career in the beauty industry.

Pre-Enrollment
What you need, before you enroll

Proof of education(One of the following):

High school or college diploma/transcript (must confirm graduation)

GED or California state proficiency test

State-certified homeschool diploma (equivalent to a high school diploma)

Foreign diploma (must be translated and evaluated for U.S. equivalency)

Licensed beauty professionals seeking continued education must also provide a valid license when applicable
Note: If you did not complete high school but have finished at least the 10th grade, you may still be eligible for enrollment and financial aid. Eligibility is determined on a case-by-case basis, so feel free to call us to discuss your situation. We're happy to help!

Enrollment Process
What to expect during your enrollment process
If you meet the admissions requirements, fill out any of the enrollment forms on our website. You'll receive an email with instructions on completing your FAFSA form and a follow-up phone call—be sure to answer so we can assist with any questions!
Once we receive your FAFSA application, we'll reach out via phone or your preferred contact method to schedule a financial aid consultation and enrollment session. If everything aligns, you can enroll the same day!
Classes start every Tuesday, but you can defer your start date for up to 3 months
Note: Students using Military benefits are not eligible for same-day enrollment.
Note: Students with outstanding student loans may not be eligible for FAFSA funding

Post-Enrollment
The start of your barber and beauty career.
Before your first day at RUBC, we encourage you to schedule a tour—available upon request.
On your first day, you'll receive shirts and patches, which are part of the required uniform. You can either wear the shirt or iron the patch onto your smock—as long as the RUBC logo is visible, you're good to go!
You'll also be assigned a locker for your personal items and receive your books. Your barber kit will be provided once you’ve completed your freshman theory hours along with health and safety training. Freshman theory starts slow but picks up quickly, so come ready to learn!
