The 1,000-hour barber license program is designed as the fastest path to becoming a licensed barber in California. This 8-10 month program provides comprehensive training to sharpen your skills and jumpstart your career in the local barbering industry.

However, since some states require more training hours, transferring your license to a state with higher requirements may require additional schooling to make up the difference.

1500 Hour Barber Program

The 1,500-hour barber license program extends the California minimum training by approximately 3–4 months. This additional time provides a significant advantage, as you will have more training and time to master the art of barbering.

The 1500 hour license can also be more easily transferred to multiple states, giving you greater career flexibility and expanded job opportunities. This means you’ll have the freedom to work in different locations, enhancing your quality of life and long-term career prospects.
