The 1000-Hour Cosmetology Course at our beauty school is your gateway to a rewarding career in hair, skincare, and nail care. What You'll Learn

Our 1000-Hour Cosmetology Course is designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in the beauty industry. Available at our San Diego and Chula Vista locations, this program provides a well-rounded education in hair, skin, and nails, blending theoretical instruction with hands-on training.

 

Students learn a wide range of essential services, including wet and thermal styling, chemical waving and straightening, precision haircutting, signature hair coloring techniques, facials, brow shaping, hair removal, lash lifts, basic makeup application, manicures, pedicures, and nail enhancements. In addition to technical skills, the curriculum covers infection control, equipment safety, and California state laws and regulations.

 

At RUBC, we believe success in the beauty industry requires more than just technical expertise. That’s why our cosmetology program includes business training, helping students develop skills in branding, online marketing, retailing, client retention, and financial management. Our hands-on approach allows students to refine their skills in a professional salon setting, working with real clients to gain confidence and experience.

This is a breakdown of how the 1,000-Hour Cosmetology Course is structured. Theory hours focus on classroom instruction, written exams, and preparation for the California state licensing exam. Practical hours take place on our clinic floor, where students gain hands-on experience performing hair, skin, and nail services on real clients, refining their techniques in a professional setting.

Tuition

Cost: $22,500

The tuition for the 1500-Hour Barber Course is $22,500, which includes 200 makeup hours to accommodate unexpected absences, ensuring you stay on track with your training.
